English National Opera
ENO is a London based opera company that stages an innovative and dynamic programme operas sung in English. The task was to produce a new opera guide to launch the implementation of a recent re-branding across all of ENO’s marketing material. The overall aim was to create bold and visually arresting imagery that represent the productions and to lay out a template for all future seasons. The designs represent the key aspects of each production while the colour choice reflects the set design and costumes. Letterpress printing provided for a visual outcome that resulted in tactile yet clear imagery. Duotone images were introduced to tie the follow-up pages together and give the guide a unified look. This season’s guide was printed on uncoated paper to enhance the tactile qualities. This project included the concept development of a layout that can look fresh and be adapted over numerous seasons as well as designing the typographic details.
