Halcyon Gallery
Halcyon Gallery is a modern and contemporary art gallery in central London. The gallery represents contemporary artists and sculptors as well as dealing in fine art from the 19th and 20th centuries. This exhibition focused on printmaking as a technique and showcased a broad range of work from the past 400 year. To give viewers a sense of history and the development of printmaking the exhibition design and graphics were based on a timeline display. This supplied context and gave an idea of when different artists had worked and printmaking techniques had been developed. In addition, quotes by the artists on show highlighted the influence they had on each other. Differently sized, printed boxes achieved a strong visual window display that drew visitors into the gallery.
